As a Technical Writer, you’ll play a key role in transforming complex technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly content. Job responsibilities:

Create and Maintain Technical Documentation

  • Develop and update documentation in accordance with industry standards such as ATA 100, ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and AG-006.
  • Understand complex engineering concepts and reframe them into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

Ensure Quality and Timely Delivery

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deliverables are accurate, on time, and within budget.
  • Adhere to Sonovision's Quality Management System and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Collaboration and Development

  • Participate in team-building activities and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Support the development of internal processes and best practices.
  • Stay informed about customer feedback and contribute to resolution strategies.

Professional Growth

Where do you fit in?

We're looking for candidates who bring a mix of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for clear communication. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A sound technical knowledge base in a mechanical, aerospace, electrical field and/or hands-on experience in the aerospace maintenance field and/or significant experience/training in the technical documentation
  • Familiarity with S1000D, ATA2200 and/or MIL-SPEC documents.
  • Previous use and/or knowledge of Simplified English (preferred but not required)
  • Previous use and/or knowledge of SGML/XML (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, PTC Arbortext Editor, or Quicksilver is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
