Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Job Description & Requirements MS/Tele Unit
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius)
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
Surgical experience (required)
Telemetry experience (required)
Must be proficient with lab draws (required)
BLS, NIHSS (required)
36-Hr GTE, 12-Hr. NIGHTS, required to work every other weekend/major holiday
24-Bed surgical unit with a mix of med/tele when beds available, bedside shift report is required, surgeon orders are very specific e.g. I&O required \nPatient Population: surgical tele, with mix of med tele when beds open; will see urology, renal, amputations, podiatry, and general surgery, no bariatric\nDines/Drips/Specific Devices/Oxygen: non-critical drips, no high flow O2\nSupport Staff: tele tech on unit, patient care techs on unit\nScrubs: navy blue, white, or any combination of the two colors\nRatio*: 1:5-6\n*Ratios are never guaranteed but what the unit attempts to achieve with normal staffing. Ratios are subject to change based on staffing.\n
