Contract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: 22 weeks
• Must Work Through: January 3 (No early end dates)
• Holiday Policy: Traveler may request either Thanksgiving or New Year’s Day off; Christmas RTO will not be approved

Shift: Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Up to 2 weekends per month
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating to Med-Surg as needed based on census

Compensation:

• Total Weekly Gross: $2,304
  • W2 (Taxable): $648
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,656

Unit Information:

• Specialty: Stepdown
• Beds: 24-bed unit
• Average Daily Census: 20–24
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 5:1 (goal is 4:1)
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients (rare, but not redirected)
• EMR: EPIC (recent experience required)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years recent Stepdown experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Comfortable with telemetry
• Must be willing to float to Med-Surg as needed

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
