Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Case Manager position specializing in case management, utilization review, and discharge planning, requiring a NC or compact RN license and EPIC experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital acute care setting within the Case Management unit
• Responsibilities include case management, utilization review, and comprehensive discharge planning
• Regular schedule is five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
• Weekend coverage is required
• No call duties
• Average daily census is 70 on weekends and 20 on weekdays
• EPIC EMR is used and experience with EPIC is required
• Role focuses on comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient needs
• Promotes patient management quality, satisfaction, continuity of care, and cost effectiveness
• Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to change
• Expected to comply with all regulatory and departmental guidelines and policies
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Request for time off (RTO) must be included for consideration
• Candidates are reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NC or compact state RN license
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 4 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in an acute hospital setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• Certification in ACM or CCM is preferred
• EPIC charting experience is required
• No first-time travelers will be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
