Job Details

• M/S Tele RN Nights & EOW - 36hrs
• Unit Name: Phippen 6/7
• Phippen 6/7 is a 32 Bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg Unit admitting all other medical overflows
• Census: 32 Total Beds (16 beds in Phippen 6 & 16 beds in Phippen 7)
• Floating Required: Travelers must float to applicable units when requested
• Rotating Shifts Required: Day rotators may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a shifts; night positions do not rotate
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Skill Sets Required: Med/Surg RN with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency; ability to interpret Tele Strips
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: Day and Eve shifts 1:4 (may go up to 5), Night shift 1:5 or 6
• Patient Population: Scheduled elective Orthopedic and Neuro/Surg patients, fractures, neuro patients, and medical overflow
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC

Job Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
• Med/Surg RN with neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency
• Ability to interpret Tele Strips
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred but not required

Schedule Information

• Night shifts and every other weekend (EOW)
• 36 hours per week
• Day rotators may be rotated between 7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a shifts when needed
• Night positions do not rotate
• Rotation frequency for day shifts is low

• Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro/surgical, fractures, and medical overflow patients
• Floating to applicable units required
• Ability to read telemetry strips required

Additional Details

• Travelers are required to float to applicable units when requested
• Clinician to patient ratio varies by shift and may increase during night shifts
• EMR system used is EPIC
