Description

The Truck Washer Attendant will clean and maintain various vehicles including diesel trucks, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment and weekly and some vehicles daily. The Truck Wash Attendant will perform washing utilizing a pressure washer, chemicals and cloths.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent Customer Service
• High Productivity
• Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

• Wash each truck at least once, weekly. Dump trucks will be washed daily.
• Operate high pressure equipment and chemicals to remove dust, dirt, mud, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of vehicles.
• Operates high pressure water hose to clean and sanitize trailers
• Keep the wash area free of debris and ensure all wastewater is reclaimed.
• Once a month de-grease engine and rinse
• Clean in-floor drain, and dump sediment pans weekly
• Sweep and clean shop floors using an industrial broom and floor scrubber.
• Trash disposal
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work environment and expectations

• Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
• Occasionally work in high precarious places
• Work environment is usually loud.
• Work conditions may be wet and year-round, including both indoor and outdoor exposure.

Machines, Tools and Equipment

The following machines, tools and equipment are commonly but not always associated with the performance of this position. Machines, tools, and equipment use will vary

• Personal protective equipment includes, but is not limited to gloves, hard hats, boots, safety goggles/glasses and safety vest.
• Tools included but not limited to broom, shovel, pressure washer, Wash brush, ladders.

Physical Requirements

• Possess physical ability to perform all aspects of job.

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell.
• There may be prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.
• Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequent physical effort including handling tools and equipment required.

• Frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds

Full time- Non-exempt

Monday-Friday & occasional Saturdays

12pm-10pm (2nd shift)
