We’re looking to hire a VFX Artist for a world-class gaming studio known for its vibrant company culture and commitment to exceptional player experiences.

• This is a remote opportunity based in Los Angeles, CA.
• While Remote, Candidates Must Reside in The LA County Area.
• Gaming Industry Required.
• 7- to 12-month contract opportunity
• Hourly Rate: $75hr. - $80hr.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you’ll join the Creative Team, where you will help create visually engaging and stylized real-time VFX that enhance gameplay and storytelling.
• Collaborate with Designers to create gameplay-enhancing VFX.
• Update and adapt iconic effects from existing assets.
• Lead VFX development from concept to in-engine execution.

Qualifications:

• Experience creating stylized, real-time VFX for games.
• Strong skills with Unreal Engine (Niagara/Cascade), Maya, 3DS Max, and Photoshop.
• Solid grasp of the entire game development pipeline.
• Experience with materials and PBR asset creation in modern engines.
• Experience providing feedback and direction to VFX vendors.
• Portfolio or demo reel required (art test may be requested).
