About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation to elevate our fundraising, alumni relations, and public engagement strategy. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of a robust fundraising plan that fuels academic programs, research endeavors, and student success initiatives. Your role will encompass:

• Leading major gift solicitations and overseeing capital campaigns.
• Building and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and philanthropic foundations.
• Enhancing connections with our global alumni network.
• Collaborating with senior leadership on strategic institutional planning.
• Managing and inspiring a high-performing team to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in higher education advancement or a closely related field. A demonstrated history of successful fundraising, particularly in major gifts and campaign management, is required. This role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a deep understanding of the unique mission and challenges faced by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
