Position Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Web Developer with solid experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery), and ColdFusion. This is a mid-level position ideal for someone who understands how websites are built and function end-to-end. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with both front-end and server-side development and able to support the ongoing creation and maintenance of multiple client sites.
This is not a modern JavaScript framework environment—React, Node, Vue, etc. are not used. Instead, we value developers who can work within traditional web stacks and bring strong practical knowledge of full-site development using ColdFusion and SQL databases.
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and enhance websites using ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
Collaborate with internal teams to manage content updates, site enhancements, and new builds
Use SQL (primarily MS-SQL) to manage and integrate data-driven components
Ensure consistent performance, security, and maintainability across client projects
Troubleshoot bugs and handle debugging on both the client and server side
Maintain version control using CVS or SVN
Contribute to technical documentation and codebase organization
Required Skills
Strong experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Professional experience with ColdFusion for server-side processing
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC concepts
Experience working with MS-SQL (T-SQL)
Familiarity with version control systems (CVS or SVN)
Ability to manage and maintain multiple active websites simultaneously
Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
A Plus to Have
Experience working with WordPress
Familiarity with the Bootstrap framework
Exposure to Mura CMS
Knowledge of IIS Web Server
Experience supporting nonprofit or association clients
