YOGA FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled

PAY RATE: $23.84 - $28.61/per class (Depending on Experience)

SCHEDULE: To be discussed during the interview.

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

JOB SUMMARY

• Develop and lead an engaging and effective yoga class.
• Must be able to clearly demonstrate and explain yoga poses, providing guidance for proper alignment, technique and modifications for students with varying abilities, injuries or limitations.
• Share principles and philosophy of yoga, promoting mindfulness, meditation and overall well-being.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace and taking attendance.
• Must be willing to be available to sub other shifts, attend required meetings and mandatory training courses.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Complete a Yoga Alliance training with a completion of 200-500-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program.
• Must be certified in CPR and first aid.
• Have the ability to interact well with members.
• Have the ability to get along with other staff members.
• Have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service.
