The Kano State Government has made a significant commitment to enhancing its agricultural sector, earmarking N16.6 billion in its 2025 budget.
According to Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Musa Shanono, this investment aims to improve food security and boost citizens’ income levels.
During the 2025 budget breakdown, Shanono highlighted key allocations, including N3 billion for the construction of the 3.1 billion liters Dansoshiya Dam, along with flowing channels.
The Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority and the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project Intervention Programme (KSADP) will receive N5.6 billion to enhance agricultural productivity and competitiveness.
