Governor Ahmed Ododo has urged stakeholders in the agriculture sector to ensure the success of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) in Kogi state
Speaking during the flag-off of the Private Veterinary Practice Programme (PVP), Ododo highlighted the importance of livestock farming in achieving food security and industrialization in the state.
The World Bank team and other stakeholders commended the state for its leadership in implementing the L-PRES project, which aims to improve veterinary services and enhance livestock farming across Kogi.
Meanwhile, the Governor approved the appointment of Dr. Musa Omeiza Muazu as the Executive Director of the Kogi State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
The announcement was made through a statement issued in Lokoja by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Ayoade.
The appointment follows the termination of the former executive director, Dr. Abubakar Yakubu, and is effective immediately.
