Turkey Seeks Strategic Partnership With Yobe On Agriculture

by AgroNigeria

The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar, has revealed Turkey’s eagerness to partner with the Yobe State government on various agricultural projects to fully utilise the state’s vast arable lands and agricultural potential.

During his courtesy visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Friday, Ambassador Bayraktar emphasised Turkey’s readiness to provide machinery and technical expertise to boost Yobe’s agricultural sector. The Yobe State government, in turn, is expected to allocate the necessary land for these initiatives.

Ambassador Bayraktar lauded the Yobe State government for its commitment to agricultural transformation. He noted that this collaboration would greatly enhance agricultural productivity and stimulate economic growth within the state.

Governor Buni, in his response, highlighted the employment opportunities the scheme would generate for the youth of Yobe State.

He pointed out that the state is embarking on a large-scale agricultural revolution, with the partnership with Turkey playing a pivotal role in involving young people in meaningful activities.

“The government is dedicated to improving agriculture to ensure food sufficiency and security,” Governor Buni affirmed.

He assured that the state government would meet its commitments under the partnership with Turkey, promising diligent pursuit of the collaboration for the state’s benefit.

“We will follow it to the letter for the benefit of our state and people,” Governor Buni assured.
