Governor Alex Otti has sworn in a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr Cliff Agbaeze as the new Abia State Commissioner for Agriculture.
The Governor said while performing the ceremony that he would not compromise, competence, accountability and responsibility. He therefore charged Agbaeze and other appointees to give their best in the service of the State.
“To whom much is given, they say, much more is expected. It is a challenge to be appointed in this administration. Why do I say so? because this administration is founded on competence, accountability and responsibility”
“The demands of your office would be very very heavy. The expectations of our people are very very high, but I have no doubt that you are going to live up to your calling”, Governor Otti declared.
Governor Otti noted that their appointments came freely without lobbying or undue influence of monetary inducement stressing his zero tolerance for corruption.
In his response, the new Commissioner for Agriculture thanked the Governor for finding them fit for the task and pledged to discharge new assignments creditably.
