The Academic Staff Union of Research Institutions (ASURI) Umudike Branch has passed a “Vote of Confidence” on the Executive Director/CEO of the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike, Prof Chiedozie Egesi.
In a statement made available to AgroNigeria, the union praised Prof. Egesi for his commitment to the professional development of staff and the overall progress of the institute.
According to the statement, Prof. Egesi has demonstrated his dedication to advancing scientific research by sponsoring researchers to attend various national and international conferences, workshops, and meetings.
The union noted that this level of support has undoubtedly enhanced the knowledge and expertise of the institute’s scientists, placing NRCRI as a leader in agricultural research in Nigeria.
