Constellations, the leading podcast and online magazine covering the new generation of space networking technologies, is seeking a content marketing and social media writer. Published by Kratos, Constellations informs working professionals in the global satellite and space industry about technology advances, business models and regulatory activities that are transforming the evolution of space-based communications. We are seeking a proven writer and content marketing ace with at least two years of experience in marketing communications or journalism to create and contribute content to Constellations and related programs. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing story ideas for Constellations and related programs
• Contacting and interviewing industry experts
• Writing articles for publication
• Writing and posting social media content

The satellite and space industries are experiencing rapid evolution, and Constellations helps industry professional track technology issues and trends, especially as they relate to communications and networking. It is a core education and marketing effort of Kratos to help professionals understand the advances being made across global businesses and governments to plan for the future. Familiarity and experience with technology is desired, especially experience in or writing about the space, telecommunication or IT industries, however most important is the ability to identify, research, interview and write compelling stories that readers care about.

Experience and Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, including the ability to interact and work professionally with executives, government figures and industry leaders.
• Experience writing and promoting web content is valuable, with knowledge of SEO a plus, though not essential. Public relations experience is also helpful, as is experience writing or working with content in other multimedia.
• BA/BS and minimum of three years of experience in marketing, journalism or other communications fields is required. Key skills include the ability to write well and on deadline. Good research, interviewing and editing skills are essential, as is thorough attention to detail.
