The Staff Accountant I is responsible for updating and evaluating for reasonableness the information presented in financial statements, narratives, and other accompanying schedules to the financial statements for any reporting entities assigned. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Pay: $28.84 - $30.76/hourly DOE ($60,000 - $64,000) Benefits:

Duties:

• Reconcile bank accounts accurately and in a timely manner, with attention to unusual items that remain outstanding at month end.
• Perform research on historical accounting transactions. Reconcile differences between A/P or A/R modules and G/L module.
• Prepare periodic financial statements (as directed by the Accounting Manager) within assigned time limits and accuracy standards.
• Prepare relevant and current explanation of financial statements in a narrative format for any financial statements released to users.
• Prepare financial statement related reports.
• Prepare accounting reports required by outside agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and schedules for annual audit.

Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or prior experience in accounting may partially substitute for education. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in public or industry accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
