The Advocacy Team of the FOOD4ALL Initiative has argued that the program will address Nigeria’s food crisis and economic hardship through its ‘One-Family-One-Farmer’ Scheme
This initiative, a collaborative effort between FUND-YES Cooperative and Multi-Life Savers For The Less Privileged People, seeks to provide food security and agri-food entrepreneurship opportunities to millions of Nigerians, particularly youths and young women, through the “One-Family-One-Farmer Scheme”.
Bishop Francis Wale-Oke, National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University, who received the FOOD4ALL Advocacy Team, led by Comrade Kennedy Iyere, at the Sword of the Spirit Ministries (Christ Life Church) in Ibadan, pledged full support for the program.
Speaking, Comrade Iyere urged Nigerians in the diaspora to partner with the initiative, highlighting its goal of establishing a national grassroots cooperative business network of six million food entrepreneurs.
“The programme has received widespread endorsement from various organisations and individuals, including traditional institutions, religious bodies, and NGOs.
“A fundraising campaign will kick off on July 11, 2024, to generate funds for the implementation of the programme.
“The initiative is designed to tackle hunger, high food prices, unemployment, economic hardship, and household poverty, which are critical challenges facing Nigeria.
“The programme’s successful implementation is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s political stability, national security, and economic productivity.
“The PFN’s endorsement is a significant step towards addressing the food crisis and economic hardship facing millions of Nigerians.
“With the support of influential Nigerians and global partners, the FOOD4ALL Initiative is poised to make a positive impact on the lives of millions of Nigerians.”
