Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has commended the Crowd Ranching Initiative launched by Eleanya Ojuu, the Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area (LGA).
The initiative aims to facilitate collaboration in developing projects, initiatives, and companies in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
During a visit to the country home of Jackson Agbai Abba, Governor Otti expressed deep appreciation for the support extended by the Abiriba Young Business Class.
The group has pledged a ₦1 billion in start-up capital to launch the initiative in Abiriba, reaffirming their support to the governor’s administration and its mission to elevate Abia State to new heights.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Otti assured the people of Ohafia LGA that the state government remains committed to supporting and partnering with them in transforming the local government area into the livestock capital of the South East.
He underscored the critical role of collective efforts in driving sustainable growth and development in Abia.
The governor’s visit to Abiriba also included a courtesy call on Ebitu Ukiwe, an elder statesman and former Vice President of Nigeria, at his residence.
Demonstrating his regard for community values and personal connections, Governor Otti joined the celebrations marking the traditional retirements of Nwaka Inem, his trusted adviser on Trade and Commerce, and Jackson Agbai Abba, a prominent figure in Abia State.
Speaking on behalf of the Abiriba Young Business Class, Leslie Ebueme Ezikpe reaffirmed the group’s resolve to support Governor Otti’s development agenda.
He introduced key members of the group, including Kelvin Jombo Onuma, Kalu Azu Kalu of Oando Group, Mang Iwo, Robert Anya Nkata, and Adriano Ogba Inah. Each member expressed a willingness to channel investments into Abia State as a testament to their trust in the governor’s leadership.
In his remarks, Jackson Agbai Abba conveyed his gratitude to Governor Otti for prioritizing Abia’s progress and for personally honoring his retirement ceremony.
Governor Otti was accompanied on this visit by Obi Aguocha, the representative for Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, and other high-ranking government officials.
