Kogi Gov, Ododo Promises Massive Investment in Agriculture

In order to ensure food security for the citizens of the state, Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has promised to invest massively in agriculture.

Governor Ododo noted this while hosting  leaders of the Muslim community in Kogi state to the breaking of Ramadan fast at the Government House, Lokoja, Tuesday evening.

According to him, the state government is aware of the current  economic situation and would make sure that his administration invests massively in agriculture to feed the  people of the state  in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While seeking the support of the state, Governor Ododo  noted that lessons of Ramadan which emphasize patience, empathy and forgiveness should not be lost on the people even with the winding down of this year’s Ramadan fast.

He then called on the people of the state to unite behind the government of the day, adding that forgiveness and patience remain key lessons of Ramadan.

More can be achieved, he further stated, with unity and compassion for one another irrespective of differences in religious inclinations.

He then commended Muslim leaders for sustaining religious tolerance in the state and urged them to continue to pray for the success of those in power, adding that the present administration requires their support and prayers to succeed.
