Following a two-day retreat organized by the Ministry for Management Staff at Orchid Hotels in Lekki, the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, reiterated the government’s proactive measures to address the increasing costs of food items and consumables.
Olusanya highlighted key initiatives, including the Market Trader Money program, which disbursed 750 million naira to 15,000 traders across the state.
Furthermore, she emphasized the positive impact of the Mushin Agro Food Hub, emphasizing its role in stabilizing food prices and providing residents with a hygienic marketplace environment.
Olusanya cautioned against hoarding and unjustified price hikes, echoing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to maintaining fair pricing practices.
In a statement, Dr. Oluwarotimi Fashola, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, expressed gratitude to the Ministry staff for their dedication and continuous support. He urged staff members to redouble their commitment and diligence in executing the government’s agricultural agenda amidst prevailing economic hardships.
