NADFund Organises Five-day Training in Ondo

by AgroNigeria

In a bid to create employment and reduce poverty among youths and women in Nigeria, the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADFund) has organized a five-day training and empowerment program for participants in Ondo State.

The initiative, which began last Friday, concludes today, and has drawn participants from various wards within the six local government areas of Ondo South Senatorial District.

NADFund, a government agency tasked with supporting growth in Nigeria’s agricultural sector by facilitating access to finance and driving transformative development, collaborated with Lyrics Consulting Limited to organize the workshop.

The program was facilitated by Senator Olajide Emmanuel Ipinsagba, representing Ondo South Senatorial District.

The workshop was designed to equip youths and women in the region with essential skills and knowledge in tailoring, aimed at transforming their livelihoods, providing sustainable income, and fostering entrepreneurship.

Participants were trained in the components of a sewing machine, explored business opportunities in the tailoring industry, and learned the daily management of tailoring equipment.

Grateful for the opportunity, the beneficiaries lauded the Federal Government’s efforts to improve their livelihoods and combat poverty.

A total of 100 youths and women participated in the program, which is expected to empower them with sustainable skills for economic growth in their communities.
