The Nigerian Government has been commended for efforts in ensuring food security in Nigeria.
The commendation comes from beneficiaries of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program Phase-One (ATASP-1) in Enugu and Anambra states.
Rural farmers praised ATASP-1, saying it will help achieve Tinubu’s agenda on food for all.
“With ATASP-1, the realization of President Bola Tinubu’s agenda on food for all will be achievable in no distant time,” they said.
Dr. Romanus Egba, Zonal Coordinator of ATASP-1 Adani-Omor Zone, explained that the project aims to empower farmers with capacity building, inputs, and economic infrastructure to enhance their living standards.
“The aim of the project is to give the farmers a sure means of survival and create an enabling environment for increased food production,” he said.
Dr. Ibrahim Arabi, National Program Coordinator, added that ATASP-1 has been a game-changer in addressing food insecurity in Nigeria.
