The federal government has allocated 4,000 hectares of farmland to Origin Tech Group to carry out mechanised agriculture in Ejiba, Kogi state.

This initiative is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s national food security agenda.

According to the Managing Director of Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority (LNRBDA), Dr. Adeniyi Saheed Aremu, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the firm captures three priority areas of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, including food security, ending poverty, and economic growth.

“We want to move a step further to 4,000 hectares to be used for the benefit of Nigerians in line with Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Dr. Aremu said.

Prince S. J Samuel, Chairman of Origin Tech Group, noted that the group has arranged with its Chinese partner to train 5,000 youth on equipment handling and repairs, creating jobs and boosting economic activities in the area.
