In a significant step to empower cashew farmers and eliminate middlemen in the industry,the National Apex of Cashew Farmers, Processors, and Marketing Cooperative Limited has officially been granted its Certificate of Registration by the Federal Director of Cooperatives.
Yunusa Gabriel Enemali, the National President of the cooperative, expressed his enthusiasm about the achievement, emphasizing that the cooperative’s goal is to transform the cashew sector by directly benefiting farmers.
As operations begin, Enemali highlighted the cooperative’s readiness to collaborate with government agencies, research institutions, and international organizations to secure technical assistance, funding, and market opportunities.
Enemali believes that such collaborations will boost the competitiveness of Nigerian cashew products in the global market.
He also took the opportunity to thank stakeholders for their invaluable support, stating, “We are now set to take off and make a meaningful impact in the cashew industry.”
