Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has reshuffled his cabinet, with changes made in various ministries.
Among the key appointments, Afeez Abolore, the former Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, was redeployed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In addition, Governor Abdulrazaq created the Ministry of Livestock Development, appointing Mrs. Olohuntoyosi Thomas Adebayo, who was previously in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, to head the new ministry.
The Governor also appointed Aliyu Kora Sabi as the Commissioner for the newly created Ministry of Transportation, while Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh was redeployed to the Ministry of Social Development.
In his address during the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Abdulrazaq charged the new commissioners to work collaboratively and remain focused on the administration’s mission of serving the people of Kwara State.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork, noting, “Our mission is to collaborate, combining our strengths and ideas to leave Kwara far better than we met it.”
He also reflected on the administration’s achievements, noting that Kwara has made progress in various sectors, including public education, primary healthcare, rural and urban development, and infrastructure upgrades.
“As you step into your new roles, I urge you to embrace creativity, always touch base with the people, think outside the box, and apply prudence in every decision made,” he said.
He also congratulated the new commissioners for their promotion from their previous roles as Senior Special Assistants.
