AgroKitchen: Healthy Baked Salmon

Baked salmon is a delicious and healthy dish that’s easy to prepare at home. It’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids and full of flavor. 

In this guide, I’ll show you how to make a simple yet delicious baked salmon dish that you can enjoy for dinner. Let’s get started!


– Salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)

– Olive oil

– Lemon, thinly sliced

– Garlic, minced

– Dried oregano

– Dried thyme

– Salt and black pepper to taste

– Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


1. Preheat your Oven:

   Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and position the rack in the center.

2. Prepare the Baking Dish:

   Take a baking dish large enough to fit the salmon fillets without crowding. Brush the bottom with a bit of olive oil to prevent sticking.

3. Season the Salmon:

   Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish. Drizzle them with the remaining olive oil, ensuring they are well-coated. Sprinkle minced garlic evenly over the fillets.

4. Season with Herbs and Spices:

   Sprinkle dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper over the salmon fillets. These herbs and spices will infuse the salmon with fantastic flavors.

5. Add Lemon Slices:

   Lay the lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets. These will not only add flavor but also keep the salmon moist as it bakes.

6. Bake the Salmon:

   Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has a slightly golden crust.

7. Garnish and Serve:

   Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven. You can garnish it with fresh parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor. Serve the baked salmon hot.

8. Optional Sides:

   Baked salmon pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a crisp salad.
