IV&V Lead Consultant
Location : Remote
Salary : $100-175k+
Sabot Consulting is currently seeking an IV&V Consultant that has demonstrated their ability to deliver client business value as a Lead Consultant by presenting verbal and written findings, issues, risks, and recommendations to project management, technical, and business stakeholders in a professional manner through evidence driven approach using IEEE Std. 1012 as a framework.
Responsibilities: - Participate on or lead a team in review and assessment of the methodologies, processes, plans, tasks, work products, and deliverables produced by a system integration vendor or client implementation team and provide recommendations for improving quality and maximizing business value realization.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues.
- Support the client management and stakeholders to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur, to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive periodic assessment reports containing results of oversight tasks and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and deliver anomaly reports reviewing specific processes, work products, deliverables, or other project attributes offering an assessment of their soundness, appropriateness, and ability to contribute to project success. Make specific actionable recommendations to address any anomalies or findings reported.
Must Have: - Minimum of seven (7) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience must have been as a senior PM of one or more medium sized or complex IT projects.
- Requires bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience, within the last ten (10) years, leading fully independent IV&V services to government entities.
- Working knowledge of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Std. 1012 (System and Software Verification and Validation).
Nice to have: - Experience with configuring or using agile development team management and development pipeline toolsets like Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Team Services, Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, or Circle CI.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing IV&V services on an Agile Software Development project(s) or utilizing an iterative delivery approach for a project(s) similar in size, scope, and complexity.
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will be verified.
- PMI ACP or CSM
- Ability to prepare high quality formal written documentation addressing complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
