Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting projects within the Federal Fuels Market Sector. This position involves contributing to the mechanical design, inspection, and planning of industrial and fuel-related infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles—particularly piping and fuel systems—and is eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and layout industrial piping and pumping systems, storage tanks, and associated mechanical equipment
  • Conduct field inspections and collect data to support engineering and planning efforts
  • Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D
  • Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop project plans, specifications, and deliverables
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including reports, drawings, and communication records
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project) to prepare reports, schedules, and presentations
  • Ensure all work meets applicable industry codes, standards, and client requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D; familiarity with BIM is advantageous
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • In-depth understanding of industrial mechanical systems including piping layouts, pumping systems, and storage tanks
  • Ability to travel to job sites, including military installations, and pass a military background check
  • Experience working on Department of Defence contracts is a plus
  • Piping Inspector Certification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or attending meetings
  • Frequent use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, printers, etc.)
  • Occasional light physical activity, including walking, standing, or lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
