Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has presented an 18-passenger capacity bus to ease transportation challenges and support youths in agribusiness.
The bus was presented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, at the Osutokun Pavilion, Government House in Ado Ekiti.
According to Governor Oyebanji, “The bus would help in conveying the youths to the farms as well as reaching the market, transporting goods, and connecting the suppliers, thereby enhancing the profitability and sustainability of their business.”
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Ebenezer Boluwade, noted that the provision of the bus is part of the governor’s initiatives to reduce barriers faced by young entrepreneurs in the industry.
He expressed confidence that Ekiti State would soon become the food basket of the country with the state government’s interventions in the agriculture sector.
Mr. Jonson Owoeye, responding on behalf of the youths in agriculture, expressed profound gratitude to the governor, stating that the bus would significantly ease logistics challenges and help scale their business.
This initiative is part of Governor Oyebanji’s broader strategy to empower youths and promote agribusiness as a viable career path in the state.
