The Federal Ministry of Agricultural and Food Security (FMAFS), in partnership with CBNetwork Global Concept and various essential stakeholders, is gearing up to host AAMETEX (Africa Agricultural Machines Equipment and Technology Expo) under the theme “Transforming Africa’s Agriculture through Technology and Innovation.”
During the inaugural brainstorming session, Engr A.G Abubakar, Director of Federal Department of Agriculture at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, underscored the pivotal role of modern agriculture and innovation in ensuring food and nutrition security.
He further emphasized that AAMETEX will serve as a platform to showcase practical solutions from Africa and across the globe, aimed at addressing issues related to agricultural mechanization and enhancing food security in Africa.
The event anticipates the convergence of over 2,000 participants and exhibitors, encompassing government officials, representatives from chambers of commerce, trade groups, farmers hailing from various regions across Africa, venture capitalists, policymakers, technocrats, financial institutions, and machinery and equipment vendors from across the world.
Prince Gbenga Agboola, serving as the event director, foresees the event yielding actionable recommendations that will aid in positioning Nigeria and Africa for the fourth industrial revolution in the agricultural sector.
