Food Security: Senator Donates 200 Bags of Fertiliser to Four Agrarian LGAs in Oyo 

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Electoral Matters and representative of Oyo South senatorial district, Senator Sarafadeen Alli has distributed 200 bags of fertiliser worth millions of naira to farmers in four agrarian local governments within his district.

The fertilisers were distributed to farmers in Ibarapa North, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East, and Ido local government areas. 

During the distribution, Senator Alli emphasized his commitment to the agricultural sector’s development within his senatorial district. 

Speaking through his representative, Comrade Gbenga Elegbede, Senator Alli highlighted the importance of supporting farmers for food security and economic growth, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the agricultural sector.

The fertiliser distribution is expected to have a significant impact on agricultural output, crop yields, and the economic growth of the benefiting local communities.

Senator Alli urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the fertilisers and encouraged them to continue their hard work in feeding the nation. 

However, Mr. Akeem Oladiran, representing the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), commended Senator Alli for his efforts in ensuring the welfare and productivity of farmers in the district. He noted that the distribution of fertilisers would significantly improve crop yields and ultimately increase farmers’ income.

The chairman of Agbe Semilore Lanlate Farmers Association, in his remarks, expressed gratitude for the distribution, stating that it would alleviate the financial burden of purchasing fertilisers and promote sustainable agricultural practices in the district.

The distribution of fertilisers by Senator Alli reflects his commitment to the agricultural sector and the welfare of farmers in Oyo South senatorial district.
