NOAN to Host 2025 Organic Agriculture Fair In Lagos

by AgroNigeria

In a strategic move to promote healthier food systems and sustainable farming practices, the Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) will host stakeholders from across the country at its 2025 Organic Agriculture Fair and Annual General Meeting in Lagos.

Scheduled to hold from April 28 to 30 at Etal Hotels and Hall, Ikeja, the event is themed “Innovative Organic Food System for National Development” and aims to spark deeper conversations and collaborations across Nigeria’s organic agriculture value chain.

The fair will feature a vibrant marketplace showcasing natural produce, alongside sessions where policymakers, researchers, farmers, processors, and agribusiness investors will connect to explore innovative solutions for food safety, environmental sustainability, and national food security.

Chairing the event will be the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, while panel discussions will bring together respected voices in organic farming, health, law, and agribusiness to deliberate on best practices, policy frameworks, and advocacy for the sector.

Aderioke Oluwagbenro, Secretary of the Association, said the event is not only a gathering but an avenue for new entrants to plug into the growing organic movement.

“We are creating a space where knowledge meets opportunity. This is a chance for participants to register with the association and expand their reach within the agroecology community,” she noted.

A key highlight will be the official launch of the association’s organic labeling system an initiative led by NOAN’s Standards and Certification Committee to enhance product traceability and build consumer trust in certified organic produce.

NOAN, which champions sustainable organic farming across Nigeria, sees the Lagos fair as a major step in building nationwide momentum around food system transformation, especially at a time when health, safety, and sustainability are at the core of national conversations.
