NSCDC Ogun Command Promises Adequate Security  for  2024 Wet Season Farming Activities

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun Command, has pledged robust security measures for farmers in the state ahead of the wet season farming.

During an interview with newsmen on Saturday in Abeokuta, Commandant David Ojelabi affirmed the readiness of trained and well-equipped officers to safeguard farmers.

Ojelabi emphasized the NSCDC’s commitment to ensuring that farmers can carry out their activities without fear of attacks, assuring them of protection for their farmland and crops through the corps’ agro-rangers unit.

He underscored the importance of this security provision in boosting agricultural activities and mitigating food shortages.

Furthermore, Ojelabi highlighted the NSCDC’s focus on fostering peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), aiming to create an environment where farmers can work without the threat of violence.
