Abia Lawmaker Supports Constituents With  1, 200 Bags of Fertiliser

The representative of Obingwa West constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu,  distributed 1,200 bags of fertilizer to farmers in the constituency.

A press release issued by his spokesperson, George Egejuru, and distributed in Umuahia, the state capital, yesterday, announced this initiative.

“The gesture is part of the House Committee Chairman on Public Service’s continued efforts to assist constituency farmers with inputs,” the statement partly read.

“Aware of the challenges farmers face in accessing fertilizer,” the statement continued, “the legislator decided to come to their aid by providing fertilizer to boost their production.”

“With this gesture, he has contributed to ensuring food security in the constituency and the state at large, as he has been doing in other sectors of the constituency’s economy.”

The announcement encouraged farmers to visit their local community headquarters to collect the fertilizer between Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Additionally, it instructed community leaders to verify the farmers’ authenticity and ensure that only legitimate individuals receive the fertilizer, preventing misuse or diversion.
