The Plateau Government, through the Agricultural Services and Training Centre (ASTC), has donated a tractor to Qua’an Pan Local Government Area to enhance agricultural productivity in the region.
Mr. Luka Dakul, Mangu Site ASTC Manager, handed over the tractor to Mr. Christopher Manship, Chairman of the Transition Implementation Committee for Qua’an Pan LGA, on Saturday in Jos.
Dakul emphasised that this initiative aims to promote food sufficiency in the area.
Reiterating the state government’s dedication to reviving the economy through agriculture, Dakul highlighted the goal of repositioning Plateau as the home of peace and tourism.
He noted that the tractor would enable farmers to cultivate their lands more efficiently, thereby strengthening food security in the state.
He expressed confidence that the collaboration between the state government and ASTC would foster robust and sustainable economic growth through farming.
Receiving the tractor on behalf of the local government, Manship expressed gratitude to Governor Caleb Mutfwang and ASTC for their commendable initiative.
He assured the community that his administration would ensure the tractor reaches the farmers directly, thereby revitalising agriculture in the local government.
Furthermore, Manship reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to working with relevant partners to improve the well-being of the people of Qua’an Pan.
