Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has called on foreign investors and development finance institutions to support key projects in agriculture, energy, and technology to stimulate economic growth in the state.

He made this appeal after participating in the ongoing 2025 Oxford Africa Business Forum at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

In a statement released on Sunday, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, noted that Radda, who was a guest speaker at the event, addressed the theme Africa’s Growth Trajectory: Globalisation vs. Domestic Collaboration.

During his speech, Governor Radda outlined the strategic benefits of investing in Katsina State.

“We have carried out extensive policy reviews to establish strong frameworks, regulations, and institutions that accelerate development and improve the business environment in our state.

Our Climate Smart Agriculture Policy and pilot program aim to address the impact of climate change and related conflicts on agriculture and food security,” the statement cited Radda as saying.

Speaking during a panel discussion on ‘Strength in Unity: The Power of African Domestic Collaboration,’ Radda provided insights on the African Continental Free Trade Area, regional security, cross-border trade, and sustainable development.

“Africa’s true potential in the 21st century can be unlocked by harnessing its youthful population and advancing technology,” he stated.

The governor also emphasized the need for African nations to work together in addressing shared challenges.

“Collaboration and strategic partnerships are essential for resolving the key issues affecting our continent,” he added.

According to the statement, discussions at the forum opened opportunities for engagement with investors and development finance institutions to secure funding for Katsina State’s initiatives in agriculture, energy, and technology.

Radda also explored possible collaborations with Saïd Business School for executive training programs and the Blavatnik School of Government for public and civil service training, aimed at improving governance and service delivery in Katsina.

The Katsina delegation at the forum included the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Economic Adviser, Khalil Nur Khalil; Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Development Management Board, Mustapha Shehu; and Special Assistant on Power and Energy, Dr. Hafiz Ibrahim Ahmed.
