 N750m Trader Money: Sanwo-Olu Warns Traders, Marketers Against Hoarding Foodstuff 

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has urged traders and marketers to refrain from stockpiling food items and goods to complement the government’s efforts to enhance the food supply within the state.

This appeal was made during the inauguration of the Lagos Market Trader Money initiative, where a take-off grant of N750 Million was distributed to 15,000 beneficiaries in the first phase.

Each beneficiary received N50,000, with some being symbolically presented with dummy cheques by Governor Sanwo-Olu to mark the commencement of payments.

The event was attended by prominent personalities, including: Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa

Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, Members of the state executive council, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, led by chairman Lagos chapter, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Royal fathers, including Oniru of Iru, Oba Gbolahan Lawal
