NCP to Fast-track Restructuring of Bank of Agriculture

In line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu led administration, the National Council on Privatisation (NCP) has moved to accelerate the restructuring and revitalization of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA).

Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima made this known at the Presidential Villa in Abuja where the inaugural meeting of the reconstituted NCP was held on Tuesday. 

He stressed the importance of the task ahead and underscored the pivotal role the Bank of Agriculture plays in realizing the administration’s agenda.

The vice president announced the establishment of an ad hoc committee which would be responsible for making important decisions regarding the BOA’s restructuring. 

A committee chairperson, Mr. Wale Edun, the finance minister, was appointed. Members include key figures such as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, CBN Governor, and others.

Senator Shettima emphasized the committee’s responsibility to develop a strategic plan for revitalizing BOA, stressing the organization’s vital role in realizing the administration’s objectives.
