In a deal that signals growing momentum for structured agricultural partnerships in Nigeria, QIQI Farms has completed the successful delivery of 10 metric tons of premium frozen chicken to Item 7 Go, the fast-expanding restaurant group, in a transaction valued at ₦45 million.
The supply agreement — now fully activated — marks the formal launch of a strategic partnership between the two organisations, with Item 7 Go poised to benefit from a consistent, high-quality poultry supply across its outlets in Ibadan, Lagos, and Ilorin.
For Item 7 Go, whose brand promise centres on delivering quality meals reliably to its growing customer base, securing a dependable upstream supplier has been a key operational priority. QIQI Farms’ capacity to fulfil the order in full positions it as a serious player in Nigeria’s commercial poultry distribution space.
Industry observers note that such formal supply agreements between local farms and restaurant groups remain relatively uncommon in Nigeria, where informal procurement still dominates. The QIQI–Item 7 Go arrangement, if sustained, could serve as a model for how the country’s food service sector can anchor itself to domestic producers — reducing reliance on imports and creating more predictable income streams for local agribusinesses.
Both parties have signalled their intent to grow the relationship beyond this initial milestone, with QIQI Farms expressing optimism about a long-term and impactful collaboration.
