The National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN) has announced a change in venue for the 4th edition of the Nigerian Cashew Day Conference scheduled to hold from January 22 to 24, 2026.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the association disclosed that the conference, earlier billed for the State House Banquet Hall, will now take place at the Shehu Musa Ya’Adua Centre, opposite Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja. The adjustment, according to NCAN, became necessary due to unresolved logistical challenges associated with the initial venue.
The association assured stakeholders, participants, and international partners that the venue change will not in any way affect the quality, objectives, or outcomes of the conference, stressing that preparations for the event remain firmly on course.
NCAN noted that the 2026 Nigerian Cashew Day Conference is strategically positioned to open new opportunities for the growth, competitiveness, and transformation of Nigeria’s cashew industry, with the collective advancement of the sector remaining its top priority. The association added that its National Executive, in collaboration with all state chapters, is fully aligned and committed to delivering a landmark conference that will mark a new phase for the industry.
However, the conference is expected to serve as a unifying platform for cashew farmers, processors, exporters, investors, and development partners, while strengthening collaboration across the entire cashew value chain and driving reforms that will create lasting value for the sector.
NCAN expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their patience and understanding, expressing confidence that the resolutions and outcomes of the conference will make participation worthwhile and impactful.
The statement was signed by the National President of NCAN, Dr. Ojo Joseph Ajanaku, who reaffirmed the association’s commitment to hosting a rewarding and memorable 2026 Nigerian Cashew Day Conference.
