FCT AFAN Gets New Leadership

Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, has commissioned its newly elected executives to oversee the association for another year.

Specifically speaking, the newly elected chairman of the association, Fraimu Daud vowed to work with relevant stakeholders in the agricultural sector to address the most critical challenges faced by farmers in the FCT.

Dauda who took oath of office alongside other executive members in Abuja, outlined his plans to boost food production and make agriculture the core foundation of Nigeria’s economy.

He said that AFAN FCT chapter intention was to continue to recognise Abuja farmers in order to make their lives easier and help them to access necessary information that can boost and improve the life of every farmer in the FCT.

He added that AFAN is readily

available to guide farmers in the right directions, in any area a farmer might require more enlightenment, ranging from purchasing farming inputs such as fertilizers, seedlings, pesticides, tools and equipment that could improve their livelihoods.

According to him, AFAN under his leadership would help farmers in selling their produce both directly to customers and wholesale food processors.

In his words: “I understand the challenges facing farmers all over Nigeria especially FCT, and I would love to work together in hormonal coordination to proffer solutions to these challenges facing farmers.

We intend to partner with more organisations as well as maintain a good relationship with our loyal partners over the years to enable AFAN give a farmer the stress free experience by creating diverse opportunities to encourage the local farmers and also educate other aspiring farmers to be a part of agriculture as a way of not just making a living but to reduce unemployment and boost the economy.”
