Emir Tasks Kano Govt. on Adoption of Mechanised Farming

The Emir of Bichi, Nasir Ado Bayero, has urged the Kano State government to embrace mechanised farming to ensure massive food production in the state.

The emire made the call when he paid a Sallah homage to Governor Abba Yusuf at the Government House, Kano, on Saturday.

He said that as the rainy season approaches, there is a need for the government to provide assorted farm inputs and fertiliser at subsidised rates to farmers.

He commended the state government for providing laudable developmental projects since his assumption of office barely 10 months ago.

Responding, Mr Yusuf said that since his assumption of office, one of the priorities of his administration is to uplift the standards of education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure.
