NAGS: Ministers Inspect Arrival, Offloading of Certified Wheat Seeds for Dry Season Farming 

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), Sen. Abubakar Kyari and  Minister of State, (FMAFS), Sen. Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi have, today 7th November, inspected the arrival, offloading and dispatch of certified wheat seeds for the 2023 Dry Season Farming Program of the Federal Government.

This development is under the National Agricultural Growth Scheme – Argo-Pocket (NAGS-AG) which aims to boost locally produced food that will in turn improve household and national food security, build resilience to external shocks and safeguard livelihoods to the benefit of the economy.

Recall that AgroNigeria had reported that the government would support over 250,000 farmers with relevant farm inputs as part of measures to increase the production of wheat, among other staple crops.
