Oyo Govt Partners Chinese Firm to Rehabilitate Asejire Water Dam

The Oyo State government has revealed its willingness to partner with Chinese construction firm, North China Construction Nigeria Limited, to rehabilitate the Asejire Water Dam and other water corporation installations across the state.

In a visit by a delegation of civil engineers from North China Construc­tion Nigeria Limited in Ibadan, the Chairman, Oyo Water Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, said that the government of Oyo has created an enabling business environment in the state.

Hon. Adeojo noted that the governor has provided a business environment for businesses ready to accommodate more investors willing to partner with the state  government or ready to conduct businesses in the state.

Speaking further, he said “this administration has achieved notable developmental strides and has invested heavily in security within Oyo State which has transformed the state to an attractive destination for both local and foreign investors.”

In his remarks, the Chairman of the China Construction Nigeria Limited, Wu Guoqi, said the company is ready to form a partnership with the corporation to rehabilitate the Asejire and Eleyele Water Supply Schemes.

“China Construction is ready to work with the Oyo State government in the reconstruction of water reservoirs and water supply across the state which will assist the state for irrigating water thereby boosting agric activities”, he added.
