President Tinubu Commended For Efforts to Reduce Food Inflation

by AgroNigeria

First Republic politician, Tanko Yakasai, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for implementing measures to decrease food inflation, providing relief to Nigerian consumers.

Speaking to journalists in Kano, Yakasai noted that the administration’s progress and achievements have vindicated the trust placed in them by Nigerians.

“From some of the reports I received, the prices of basic foodstuff have been coming down. Unlike what it was before now, families can now afford to buy basic food items such as rice, beans, maize, sorghum and other edibles needed to feed their homes,” Yakasai declared.

He also commended the administration’s efforts to reduce petrol prices, stating, “I was also made to understand that the cost of petrol at the filling stations has been coming down. In some places, I was told that they now sell petrol for about N850 per litre instead of N1,150k in the recent past.”

Yakasai urged Northerners to support the administration, emphasizing that the North has not been left out of the administration’s plans.

He also encouraged Nigerians to contribute to good governance through informed criticisms and constructive political engagements.

In related news, President Tinubu has announced plans to reduce inflation to 15% in 2025 by increasing local food production.

Additionally, the administration has approved duty-free importation of major food items to combat rising food inflation.
