The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Sune Krogstrup, have agreed to strengthen their partnership in the area of agricultural production.
This was disclosed during a meeting between the Danish Ambassador and the Governor, aimed at enhancing economic activities in the state.
According to Governor Buni, the state and the Danish government share common economic interests, and both governments will collaborate to explore the economic benefits for the state.
Governor Buni revealed that the state is rich in agricultural produce and has significant potential in sesame seeds and Gum Arabic farming for commercial quantities and international trade.
He welcomed any future partnerships that would leverage the natural deposits abundant in the state to improve economic potential, fostering growth and development.
